Rudra 130 SP
ルドラ 130 SP
A 130 mm, ~20 g suspending jerkbait with a long-casting weight system and a wide, irregular darting action; a magnum-class alternative to smaller minnows.

What is the Rudra 130 SP?
The O.S.P Rudra 130 SP is a 130 mm suspending jerkbait weighing about 20 g, with a stated dive range around 3 to 4 feet. It uses a fixed multi-ball weight and a low centre of gravity in a lightweight body O.S.P calls the Honeycomb Super HP Body, producing long casts and a wide, irregular dart with a tight wiggle on the straight retrieve.
Why it's popular in Japan
The Rudra gave Japanese anglers a larger jerkbait profile than the common 110–120 mm class while keeping a shallow running depth, which suits the many clear, weedy Japanese lakes where fish sit high. It became a go-to big-minnow option and spawned a full size and buoyancy range (S, SP, MSF and others).
How Japanese anglers fish it
It is fished with the same jerk-jerk-pause cadence as a smaller jerkbait, but its size makes it a search tool over grass flats and along break lines. Anglers lengthen the pause in cold water and use it to call fish up from deeper weed.
Recommended situations
Clear, grassy lakes and reservoirs; pre-spawn through early summer; fish holding high over submerged vegetation or roaming flats; when a bigger profile out-fishes a standard 110-class minnow.
How it differs from US-market lures
US anglers more often reach for a deep-diving jerkbait in this size; the Rudra stays shallow, which is the point. It is generally an import or specialty-retailer item in the US rather than a shelf staple.
