What is the Vision 110?
The Megabass Vision 110 is a 110 mm suspending jerkbait weighing roughly 14 g (about 1/2 oz), rated to run to about 6 feet. It uses Megabass's internal moving-balancer weight-transfer system for casting distance and a sharp, erratic darting action on the twitch. Megabass lists it as most effective in water from about 38 to 70 F.
A smaller Vision 110 Jr and a deeper-diving 110+2 are also part of the family. Note: exact Japanese release year is not confirmed here and should be verified before publishing.
Why it's popular in Japan
The Vision 110 is one of the clearest examples of a JDM lure earning its status on results. Japanese anglers valued its casting range on windy highland reservoirs and its hard, wide dart that could be tuned with line size and rod work. That reputation travelled with visiting pros and turned it into a benchmark jerkbait worldwide.
How Japanese anglers fish it
It is fished as a classic cadence jerkbait: a burst of sharp downward snaps followed by a pause, with the pause length matched to water temperature — long in the cold, shorter as fish get active. Anglers adjust hook and split-ring weight so the bait suspends level or sinks very slowly, and fish it on fluorocarbon around points, grass edges, and hard cover.
Recommended situations
Cold to moderate water (roughly 38–70 F), clear to lightly stained lakes and reservoirs, pre-spawn and post-front conditions, bass relating to points, grass edges, and rock.
How it differs from US-market lures
Compared with many US-market jerkbaits, the Vision 110 has a harder, more erratic dart and a heavier moving-weight system for casting, at a higher price point. It is one of the few JDM baits that is now distributed widely in the US rather than being import-only.
