シンディ 110SF-M

A 110 mm slow-floating jerkbait from REVONIK designed for exceptionally responsive rod-work. The SHINDY 110SF-M combines a thin, high-sided body, low center of gravity, and finely shaped willow-leaf lip to produce sharp yet controllable darting action from even small angler inputs.

What is the SHINDY 110SF-M?

The SHINDY 110SF-M is a 110 mm slow-floating jerkbait from REVONIK, the Japanese lure brand founded by veteran lure designer Seiji Kato.

Its relatively flat, high-sided body is constructed with thin walls and a reduced amount of internal resin and structural material. This creates a larger internal air chamber while keeping the lure highly responsive.

A specially designed fixed weight is positioned along the lower portion of the body, creating a low center of gravity that helps the lure respond quickly when the retrieve begins and when the angler applies rod movement.

The M lip uses a narrow willow-leaf-inspired shape with a very thin leading edge. This design balances sharp action with braking performance during rod-work.

The result is a hard jerkbait designed to respond to surprisingly small inputs, with a light and agile feel that REVONIK compares to working a weightless soft-plastic jerkbait.

Why it's popular in Japan

The SHINDY 110SF-M reflects a highly control-oriented approach to Japanese jerkbait fishing.

Rather than relying only on large, aggressive darts, the lure is designed to convert relatively small rod movements into immediate changes in action.

Its thin body construction, low center of gravity, and specialized lip allow anglers to manipulate the lure with a light and responsive feel. This makes it possible to adjust the strength and rhythm of each movement according to fish activity.

The slow-floating setting adds another important characteristic. Instead of remaining suspended during a pause, the lure gradually rises, creating vertical movement that can be incorporated into the presentation.

This combination of responsive darting and controlled buoyancy gives anglers another way to trigger bass that are following a jerkbait but not committing to a conventional presentation.

How Japanese anglers fish it

The SHINDY 110SF-M is primarily fished with controlled rod-work.

Short twitches and jerks allow the lure to dart from side to side, while its high responsiveness means the angler does not need exaggerated rod movements to make the lure react.

Slack between movements gives the lure room to change direction naturally rather than simply being pulled forward.

Pauses are particularly interesting with the SF-M because the lure is slow floating. Instead of remaining at a fixed depth like a suspending jerkbait, it gradually rises during the pause.

Anglers can use this combination of darting, braking, and rising movement to change the lure's rhythm and keep it from repeating exactly the same action.

The lure can also be retrieved steadily. Its responsive construction allows the action to begin quickly after the retrieve starts, but rod-work remains the presentation that best demonstrates the character of the SHINDY 110SF-M.

Recommended situations

  • Japanese-style jerkbait fishing
  • Clear to lightly stained water
  • Pressured bass
  • Bass following but not committing
  • Baitfish-oriented situations
  • Controlled twitch-and-pause presentations
  • Situations where a slow-rising pause is useful
  • Around approximately 1.5 m running depth
  • Precise rod-work
  • When aggressive wide jerks are producing too much movement

How it differs from US-market lures

For US anglers, the most interesting characteristic of the SHINDY 110SF-M is the combination of a full-size 110 mm jerkbait body with an unusually light and responsive feel during rod-work.

REVONIK reduces body-wall thickness and unnecessary internal material to increase the internal air volume, then places a dedicated fixed weight low in the body to maintain control and responsiveness.

The result is designed to react to relatively small rod movements rather than requiring aggressive input to create action.

Its slow-floating buoyancy also changes the role of the pause. Instead of simply stopping or suspending, the lure gradually rises, allowing buoyancy itself to become part of the presentation.

The SHINDY 110SF-M therefore offers a useful example of Japanese jerkbait design focused not only on the shape of the dart, but on responsiveness, braking, buoyancy, and the angler's ability to control small changes in movement.
